The Digital Photo Guy

Wild Animal Park: Hands-On Photoshoot, March 6, 2010

You’ve read the manual, you’ve scoured the Internet, your dog has sunburn from all the flash photos you’ve taken of him. How else can you improve your photography? Join The Digital Photo Guy for a “hands-on” photoshoot at the world famous San Diego Wild Animal Park. Each workshop is limited to just 4 students so everyone has my full attention and assistance.

This is NOT a day at the park. This is an intense 4-hour photoshoot covering every important knob, dial, switch and menu on your digital SLR to get you to the next level. We start by covering basic but critical controls that determine exposure. We’ll be focused on gaining full control of your dSLR so no Auto or Scene Modes at this workshop. We’re strictly in Program, Av, Tv or Manual depending on your skill level and experience.

We’ll cover, in-depth, my Exposure Triad Practicum so you’re not simply twiddling controls based on some “formula” but on a thorough understanding of aperture, shutter speed and ISO. We’ll cover the controls that control controls (are we confused yet?) so you know which direction and how much to adjust your controls.

The next WAP Photoshoot is Saturday, March 6, 2010 from 9am until 1PM, including an hour photo editing session in my mobile digital photo editing lab (2006 Winnebago). To register, click on the PayPal link below and use your credit card. Cost is just $149.95 ($129.95 Economic Stimulus Price).
