The Digital Photo Guy

Palomar College – “Hands-On” Photoshoot at Kit Carson Park

Follow up your digital SLR class at Palomar with a “hands-on” photoshoot at Kit Carson Park in Escondido, CA. Learn on-location as we photograph birds & landscapes, statuary, kids at the sports complex, adult softball, tennis, runners and all manner of flowers, insects and other macro subjects.

This is a 3-hour class limited to 20 students. I’ll explain how to estimate exposure then dial in the desired values, focus and compose a pleasing image and techniques for controlling the camera to minimize blur. After this workshop, you will be able to confidently photograph in all conditions with full control over your dSLR.

You will need a digital SLR (any make/model) and at least one lens. On the day of the photoshoot, you will need a blank memory card, spare battery and the manual for your camera. A sense of humor will also be greatly beneficial. Digital SLR for New dSLR Owners at Palomar College is a prerequisite for this class unless you have taken photography classes in high school or college, are an advanced amateur film photographer or worked as a photographer.
