Excess Equipment for Sale
From time to time, I have excess equipment that needs to find a new home. All of the gear is in excellent working condition. There may be minor scratches or wear spots but nothing that affects the functionality of the equipment. I prefer PayPal or cash but I also accept check or USPS Money Order (must clear before shipment).
Canon 40D w/BG-E2 Battery Grip
This Canon 40D is about 3 years old and has been my backup body the entire time. I bought it mainly to familiarize myself with the newer Canon menus. It has about 6000 shutter actuations which is nothing on a shutter rated for 100,000 cycles. It sports a 10 megapixel CMOS sensor and a DIGIC III Canon processor. Body only, lens not included.
The 40D is rated for 6.5fps (frames per second) so it can capture images of your little soccer star or best buddy, Rover, in action. Coupled with 9 AF points, this camera was designed for fast action.
The BG-E2 Battery Grip accepts two batteries (four included) to extend your shooting time. More importantly, it places an extra set of controls on the top, right edge in portrait mode for faster, easier operation in sports, wildlife and action photography (notice extra shutter release on lower left corner in photo.) I even have the original AA battery tray that can be used in a pinch.

Miscellaneous Stuff
This Kenko 1.5x teleconverter (TC) works with Canon EF lenses. This TC is best for use with fixed focal length lenses such as the Canon 85/1.8, 50/1.8 or pro quality zooms like the 70-200/4. Like all TC, it will not autofocus with lenses slower than f/5.6. If you have a zoom lens with an aperture range of 3.5-5.6, it won’t AF at the telephoto end. $35 + $5 SH.

Hoya Filters
Set of four Hoya UV filers in a makeshift cloth case originally used for floppy diskettes (remember thoe?) I’m selling these as a set and will include the 2 made in Japan for free. I haven’t used these in ages so there may be minor scuffs on the glass but nothing that affects image quality. The set is $50 + $5 SH.
The Adorama Podmatic is a knockoff of the old Linhof Monomatic. This is a self-setting monopod that weighs just 11oz. It’s not a primary monopod but something you keep in a gadget bag for the moments when you didn’t think to bring the big honker. It does take a bit of getting used to because the bottom section has to be extended and locked before the rest of it will lock in place. $25 + $5 SH.
